Islamische Normativität im westlichen Kontext: Zur Anwendung des kollektiven iǧtihād in Europa [Islamic Normativity in a Western Context: On the Application of Collective iǧtihād in Europe] Ahmed Gad Makhlouf Zusammenfassung Der Beratungsbedarf in religiösen Angelegenheiten intensivierte sich in Verbindung mit einer zunehmenden Zahl an Muslim:innen in Europa, insbesondere nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Im Zuge der Arbeit an der Institutionalisierung des muslimischen Lebens, vornehmlich ab den 1970er-Jahren, wurden in den letzten Jahrzehnten einige Fatwa-Institutionen eingerichtet. Außer dem transnationalen European Council for Fatwa and Research wurden auch lokale Fatwa-Kommissionen in Europa gegründet, darunter der Fatwa-Ausschuss in Deutschland und der theologische Beratungsrat in Österreich. Diese Fatwa-Gremien befassen sich mit der Bewertung der muslimischen Religionspraxis und von gesellschaftsbezogenen Fragen im europäischen Kontext. Dieser Artikel hat zum Ziel, die islamische Normativität, welche einige Fatwa-Gremien in Europa sowohl auf transnationaler als auch lokaler Ebene anfertigen, zu untersuchen. On the Application of Collective iǧtihād in Europe
The need for advice in religious matters intensified in connection with an increasing number of Muslims in Europe, especially after the Second World War. In the course of the institutionalization of Muslim life, primarily from the 1970s onwards, several fatwa institutions have been established in recent decades. In addition to the transnational European Council for Fatwa and Research, local fatwa commissions have also been founded in Europe, including the Fatwa Committee in Germany and the Theological Advisory Council in Austria. These fatwa committees deal with the evaluation of Muslim religious practice and society-related issues in a European context. This article aims to examine the Islamic normativity developed by several fatwa bodies in Europe at both transnational and local levels. On the one hand, it intends to illustrate the conceptions and principles developed for this purpose. On the other hand, this article deals with the presentation of the main features of the functioning of such fatwa bodies, paying particular attention to the local fatwa intuitions of German-speaking countries.
